General Information
The Seniors Card is a Victorian Government initiative, in partnership with the private sector. Card holders are able to obtain a wide range of discounted goods and services from participating businesses and retailers, including travel, accommodation, hospitality, entertainment, leisure and further education.
Participating businesses and services can be identified in the directories of discount providers, which you will receive with your card and also by the distinctive "Seniors Card Welcome Here" decal which is proudly displayed by Seniors Card discount providers.

Who is eligible?
To be eligible for a Victorian Seniors Card, you must meet all three of the following criteria:
- aged 60 years or more
- a permanent resident of Victoria
- retired or working less than 35 hours per week in paid employment
Also any permanent resident of Victoria, aged 60 years or more, who is on unemployment benefit/assistance, or has been on Workcare for more than 6 months is eligible.
Interstate or overseas visitors, regardless of frequency or duration of stay, and those on long service, recreational or sick leave are not eligible.
Discounts for card holders
Seniors Card provides a range of exclusive discounts from over 3,000 businesses and the following additional benefits:
- The Seniors Daily Metcard for all day use on trains, trams or buses across zones 1 and 2, Monday to Sunday. For shorter trips card holders can travel at the concession fare rate
- Travel on V/Line train and coach services at all times at concession fare rates
- Two Off Peak travel vouchers are issued annually for travel anywhere within Victoria
- Free travel on Metropolitan trains, buses and trams, and on regional bus services in Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong on Sundays using the Seniors Sunday Pass
- free admission to The Melbourne and Immigration Museums and Scienceworks
- free fishing in Victorian waters
